Product Information

The crowns are adult-sized and adjustable between approximately 50cm to 60 cm circumference.

Full instructions on how to assemble included as well as a link to 'how to assemble' film.

Carbon Neutral printed in England on robust card means, if looked after well and displayed or stored in a dry place after use, these crowns are designed to last - a great alternative to the paper hats found in crackers. 

Safety notice: never leave a lit candle unattended near paper products.

STORY

This original Pop Out crown design by The Shop Floor Project is inspired by the elaborate ‘ship hair’ or ‘pouf à la Belle Poule’ of 18th century Paris.  It was popularised by Marie Antoinette, who wore a hand-crafted miniature ship atop her head to commemorate the French ship Belle Poule’s victory in 1778.

Beautifully painted by artist and co-founder of The Shop Floor Project Denise Allan, the Pop Out Sailing Ship is formed with three main parts to create an impressive three-dimensional crown, strung with tiny pearls and ribbons blowing in the wind, the ship rides through a curl of waves.
