THE STORY

British artist Amelia Tuttiett’s Angel Delight collection features a series of press moulded earthenware platters which depict wonderfully wobbly desserts. Aunt Annie's Custard Surprise, Strawberry Wobble Cake, Cherry Darling and the artist’s own Knickerbocker Glory all feature in this yummy, custard-filled collection. 

Beginning as wonderful drawings, the designs are inspired by tiered Regency desserts. These ceramic versions delight in the wobbliness of their edible counterparts.

Utilising her extensive collection of glazes, Amelia mixes a palette of pastels to create these towering delights, piled high with generous amounts of custards, blancmange, sponges, whipped cream and topped with cherries and berries.

Like a Parisian confectioner, Amelia playfully combines the painterly desserts with a beautiful delicacy; edges are impressed with patterns to appear like lace, piped with a series of tiny dots or specked to look like sponge.
