STORY:

We are very excited to include a collection of new plates by the Japanese artist Chiharu Yoshino. 

Born in Fukuoka, Chiharu Yoshino graduated from Saga Prefectural Arita, renowned as the birthplace of Japanese porcelain and a major hub for Arita ware, a traditional craft known worldwide. 

Chiharu explores the traditional, delicate expression and fine details of Arita porcelain and combines it with her illustrations and narrative painting. Creating these enigmatic, humorous and unusual contemporary porcelain works, we may see animals flying on the back of a dragon, a tea party in the woods or a pair of rabbits in top hats.
