DENISE ALLAN | Birds of the Marshes
A new collection of hand-painted antique papier-mâché trays by Denise Allan has just launched. The collection features native British birds seen along the Leven Estuary in South Cumbria and, in particular, an area known as Plumpton Marsh.
The trays feature a flock of birds found on the estuary, its bordering grassland and woods; curlews, black faced gulls, little egrets, black-winged stilts, avocet and oystercatchers all can be found on the sands and in Denise Allan’s trays.
