Orlando is a history of English literature in satiric form which spans almost four-hundred years in the lifetime of its protagonist, the Lord Orlando. Set over the course of four centuries, our Fabric Folk decoration depicts the ravishing 16th century Orlando, at the time he falls in love with Sasha, a Muscovite princess, during the Great Frost - an accompanying Fabric Folk of an ice-skating Sasha is also available in this collection.

THE STORY
These charming Fabric Folk Kits are part of an ongoing collaboration between The Shop Floor Project and paper-cut artist Amanda White. Celebrating important figures throughout history the collection includes: Picasso, William Morris, Beatrix Potter, Caroline Herschel the astrologer, Charles Dickens, Emily Dickinson, Frida Kahlo, Marie Antoinette, Oscar Wilde, Queen Elizabeth I, Dido Belle, Mary Anning the fossil hunter, writers Virginia Woolf, Jane Austen and the Brontë sisters Anne, Charlotte and Emily.
Amanda White’s celebrated collages of portraits and historical houses bring together her love of old buildings and literature. Trained as a theatre designer, each paper cut feels like a set design or sketch for a costume, each one drawing you into the scene and finding more, as you take in all the detail.
