described as “honest and lovable”, Marie Antoinette was an Austrian princess and the wife of King Louis XVI. She was the last queen of France before the French Revolution and was the penultimate child and youngest daughter of Empress Maria Theresa and Emperor Francis I.

These charming Fabric Folk Kits are a collaboration between The Shop Floor Project and collage artist Amanda White. They celebrate figures throughout history.

SIZE: The finished dimensions are approx: 13 x 17.5cm

Each kit contains:

THE STORY

 

These charming Fabric Folk Kits are part of an ongoing collaboration between The Shop Floor Project and paper-cut artist Amanda White. Celebrating important figures throughout history the collection includes: Picasso, William Morris, Beatrix Potter, Caroline Herschel the astrologer, Charles Dickens, Emily Dickinson, Frida Kahlo, Marie Antoinette, Oscar Wilde, Queen Elizabeth I, Dido Belle, Mary Anning the fossil hunter, writers Virginia Woolf, Jane Austen and the Brontë sisters Anne, Charlotte and Emily. 


Amanda White’s celebrated collages of portraits and historical houses bring together her love of old buildings and literature. Trained as a theatre designer, each paper cut feels like a set design or sketch for a costume, each one drawing you into the scene and finding more, as you take in all the detail.
