A series of monoprints and linocuts by British artist and biologist Moira Frith. Works including Bull, Quails and Badgers have a quality and immediacy that can only come from a lifetime of observing the form and movement of animals. Using anything she can get her hands on, Moira uses traditional materials such as wood and lino and often uses her favourite medium of pizza boxes to carve her blocks, from which she takes just one print.
Moira fills her sketch books and studio walls with studies of all sorts of creatures.
She often makes small cut-outs of ideas...
