.OBJECTS IN PAPER

The Objects in Paper collection has been inspired by the extraordinary sculptures of the late American designer, Irving Harper.

Working from the attic of his beautiful home and studio in Rye, New York, Harper created an impressive and dizzying array of objects over his lifetime, drawing on a wide-ranging set of artistic influences. His primary material of choice was paper and card and Harper’s mastery of the delicate material gave way to the execution of a seemingly limitless stream of objects. Many of Harper’s works are beautifully catalogued in the publication Works in Paper, which is now stocked at The Shop Floor Project.
