About the materials:

The ear hooks are made from high quality sterling silver and gold, or ‘gold fill’.

‘Gold-filled’ refers to a material composed of a solid layer of gold mechanically bonded to a base of sterling silver. The colour or sheen never changes (so it is not gold plated).

The gemstones are a natural product, so each stone is unique and can differ slightly compared to the pictures.

*Important - please note all earrings are excluded from our returns policy.

STORY

The Baroque Garden, a collection of handcrafted jewellery inspired by the Old Masters.

Earrings and necklaces that catch the light, blurring the centuries, appearing at once to be both straight from a Vermeer painting and from a contemporary jewellery studio.

“This relationship between the ages is something we have wanted to find through this collection. Jewellery that doesn’t intrude on life, that can be worn with ease each day, but is also incredibly special, that makes the wearer feel like they are a sitter for a painting - that’s what we wanted” Samantha Allan (The Shop Floor Project)

There is both strength and delicacy to the way these pieces are expertly crafted; gold wire and casements sculpted and cast around silver, encasing gemstones, pearls, coral and crystal. Each piece is handmade in Europe by traditional artisans, giving them a unique character and ensuring that no two works are exactly the same.

The Baroque Garden is a collection of earrings and necklaces inspired by the old master painters of the 17th century, with their love of pearls and jewels, combined with elements inspired by the new gardens of that time.

Grand outdoor places commissioned by the kings and queens of Europe to explore geometry and nature; parteers filled with flowers and herbs, arabesque topiary walls, water features that sparkled in the sunlight, specimen plants and secret woodland dells. It is the elements within all of this inspiration that have led to this collection.
