A wonderful collection of new circular cushions from Claudia Rankin, produced by The Shop Floor Project. Rankin’s paintings of faces, masks and patterns have been translated into a silk and cotton mix - just one cushion would add a nice pop to any interior, whilst a group would add a big bang!

Each cushion cover comes with an artist's information tag.

Printed onto organic cotton/silk sateen

Yorkshire woven blank cotton/silk backing

About the artist

Rankin’s love of colour and her naïve yet refined sense of nature came early. Raised in London near the Victoria and Albert Museum, she lost afternoons wandering the textile and ceramic floors. And as a child, she puttered about her mother’s oriental porcelain shop on Portobello Road. Her father, in advertising and film, collected stuffed owls. 

Based in Northumbria, Claudia works mainly in ceramic form and creates  collages when she has gathered enough material and scenes begin form in her imagination.
