CONCERTINA PAPER CHAIN KITS

Our new Concertina Paper Chain Kits take the paper chain to the next level! 

EACH KIT MAKES JUST OVER 4 METRES (this would create 4 x one metre swags or vertical columns)

We use this 250-year old printing technique because it gives life and beauty to the print quality, and creates a really deep, natural colour.

INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED - FILM TUTORIAL TO FOLLOW SOON

Double sided tape is included.

After use, each concertina chain can be pushed together into little cubes that can be tied with a ribbon and kept neatly year after year.

THE STORY

We are so thrilled with our new Paper Chain design. The Concertina Paper Chain combines many of our, seemingly disparate, sources of historical inspiration: the paper sculptures of Irving Harper, Circus accordions, Tudor Ruffs, Brancusi column sculptures and costumes in the V&A museum.

All of these references led to these interlocking zig zag paper chains which play with shapes, colour and light.

Each piece is pre-creased and ready to fold into the concertina, a really simple and fun project for a winter's night.

These can be hung in swags...

Or vertically for a more sculptural effect.

Garlands, in many forms, have been made since Roman times and there is something very joyous about draping and festooning a chain of paper loops around the home. Strewn around the tree, across the hallway or hang in various lengths in a window.
